Early career principals are invited to attend a breakfast with veteran principals to discuss hot topics and network with one another.  The cost is $35. You may register for the breakfast on the i3 registration form under Additional Options/Optional Events.  No refunds after May 20, 2027.

Visiting Classrooms Is Not Enough!  (A deep dive into pre & post observation coaching)

It is quite normal for busy principals and assistant principals to stress over the challenges of finding space in their busy days to spend quality time in their teachers' classrooms. Classroom visits are only half of the instructional leadership process however. The other half is the ongoing coaching. In other words, as you mold and shape the school's culture to supporting instructional leadership, that will include the time to coach on an ongoing basis formatively. This session will take a deep dive into the particulars of coaching your teachers effectively toward ensuring a correlation between coaching and the continued improvement of instruction.

 

 
The registration deadline for the 2027 Innovative Ideas Institute is Thursday, June 3, at 11:59 p.m. After June 3, you may only register on-site at the conference.

 

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellation Policy:  We'd hate for you to miss the Innovative Ideas Institute, but if you must, cancellations and requests for refunds must be in writing and submitted by email to April Griffin at april@scasa.org no later than Thursday, May 20, 2027. No refunds will be given for early bird registration fees, including optional fees, regardless of conference delivery method. Refunds will be processed by Wednesday, July 7, 2027. A $30 processing fee will apply to ALL cancellations received prior to Thursday, May 21. No refunds will be given after May 20, including optional fees. SCASA cannot accept telephone cancellations.  No refunds are granted for "no-shows," and full payment is required.

Substitution Policy:  Substitutions may be made with appropriate documentation. Written requests for substitutions must be received in writing and submitted via email by Thursday, June 3, 2027. Please email your substitution request and/or cancellations to April Griffin at april@scasa.org.
