SC District Instructional Leader of the Year
This statewide award is presented to an instructional leader at the district level. The award recognizes involvement with regional or statewide SCASA educational issues, and the nominee's impact on improvement in his or her school district.
The 2025 announcement was made in the Spring and the winner will be recognized during the 2025 Innovative Ideas Institute.

Eligibility Requirements:
- A nominee must have served a minimum of three (3) full years in a school district in South Carolina and must be serving in a district instructional leader position in the district office (i.e. deputy superintendent, chief academic officer; director of curriculum & instruction; elementary, middle, or secondary director) at the time the nomination is submitted.
- A nominee must be an active member of SCASA and the Instructional Leaders’ Affiliate
- Note: Nominees are ineligible if they are (1) presently serving as President of the Instructional Leaders’ Affiliate (2) members of the Publicity and Recognition Committee or (3) a previous award recipient.
- Nominations must be made by active SCASA members. Self-nominations are accepted.
