Individual Awards

State and national awards are an important part of SCASA's service to its membership. Many of SCASA's ten affiliates offer recognitions within their membership. For more information, contact your division officers. In addition, SCASA offers the following Association-wide awards:

SC Adult Education Director of the Year
This statewide award is presented to an adult education director. The award recognizes involvement with regional or statewide SCASA educational issues, and the nominee's impact on improvement in his or her school district.

SC Principals of the Year
Three principals (secondary, middle level, elementary) are recognized each year.

SC Assistant Principals of the Year
Three assistant principals (secondary, middle level, elementary) are recognized each year.

SC Personnel Administrator of the Year
This statewide award is presented to a personnel director at the district level. The award recognizes involvement with regional or statewide SCASA educational issues, and the nominee's impact on improvement in his or her school district.

SC Career & Technical Administrator of the Year
This statewide award is presented to a career and technical administrator the district level. The award recognizes involvement with regional or statewide SCASA educational issues, and the nominee's impact on improvement in his or her school district.

SC District Instructional Leader of the Year
Presented to an instructional leader at the district level. The award recognizes involvement with regional or statewide SCASA educational issues, and the nominee's impact on improvement in his or her school district.

SC Superintendent of the Year
One of the state's district superintendents is recognized and competes for national honors.

SC District Level Administrator of the Year
Presented to an associate or assistant superintendent, director, coordinator, or other professional personnel at the district level.

SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award
Veteran school leaders are honored with the prestigious SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award each year recognizing their impact and career education.

Palmetto's Finest Schools
Since 1978, SCASA has recognized schools which offer excellent instruction and outstanding leaders, augmented with strong family and community involvement and a supportive business community.
