SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award

Each year up to three education administrators receive the prestigious SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes the lifetime achievement of veteran administrators. Winners of the 2022 SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award will receive a monetary honorarium presented by the South Carolina Association of Governmental Organizations (SCAGO).  They are publicly recognized during Innovative Ideas Institute (i3) in June and invited to the SCASA Awards Dinner on May 23, 2023.

SCASA members will receive a notification in early spring detailing the application procedures and to submit nominations. Nominees must be SCASA members, but nominations may be presented by anyone.  

Once you've determined a nominee for this award - please send your nomination via email to April Griffin, april@scasa.org, by March 20, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. with the following information - 
  1. Nominee's Name, position and school district
  2. Nominee's primary affiliate
  3. A brief summary on why the nominee deserves to receive the SCASA Lifetime Achievement Award (500 word limit)
  4. Nominator's name, position, and email address (individual submitting the nomination)
While recipients must be members of SCASA, anyone may nominate and submit the award application for selection. 

Nominators will be notified and asked to complete the award application packet by April 25, 2023.
