South Carolina School Accountability: What’s New, What’s Next, and What It Means
This session will provide a general overview of the accountability system in South Carolina, paying extra attention to how 2027 Report Cards will be calculated differently from 2026 Report Cards and what those changes mean for school leaders. We will explore the differences in the new Multilingual Learner’s Progress indicator, the inclusion of the South Carolina Employability Credential in the on-track metrics, and the addition of the Seal of Biliteracy as a College Ready criterion. We’ll also discuss what’s coming up on the horizon for accountability.
