Session Description:
Supporting student mental health through multi-tiered systems of support means promoting resiliency universally and having timely, coordinated responses to signs of student risk. But how do we monitor student risk effectively and how do we know when a student needs more support and intervention? This seminar will provide the opportunity for participants to increase their understanding of risk and protective factors impacting students, as well as how to use the information and data available to them to help inform decisions in ways that align with best practices.
  • Framing of Youth Mental Health Crisis
  • Overview of Mental Health Functioning
  • Mapping Mental Health Functioning and Symptoms onto MTSS
  • Resiliency, Risk, and Protective Factors, a working model
  • Student Risk Profiles and Practice Thinking through Risk
  • Translating Training into Action Reflection
