Session Description
Resilience is sometimes thought of as psychological body armor - your ability to bounce back, to pick yourself up and try again until you either succeed or decide on a more productive direction. It allows you to withstand adversity - a form of immunity that helps you make good decisions under pressure, motivates you, and allows you to bounce back quickly.
Research published on resilience is revealed in the book, Stronger, by 3 authors: One is an original Navy SEAL, one is the founding father of modern stress management and a pioneer in the field of human resilience, and one is a recognized expert on resilience.
In this workshop we'll explore the five factors of personal resilience discussed in the book. These factors are the suit of psychological body armor that can protect you against distress and emotional injury. Most importantly, in addition to unveiling the five factors, we will also unveil ways you can develop this for yourself and foster it in others.
